False Chas & Dave Story in The Sun Shocker!!
Today's edition of The Sun carries a story headed 'Not Rabbiting'
which goes on to reveal how Chas & Dave have fallen out
and don't talk to each other anymore. This revelation is supplied
by a 'source' at the BBC who apparently witnessed the boys
'not talking' at the recent filming of the Catherine Tate
Christmas special. Now if the tabloids want to create some
sort of 'Gallagher brothers' style rift to spice things up
then that could be an interesting angle, but for the record,
Chas & Dave have definitely not fallen
out and to quote Chas directly: 'This story is complete b*llocks'.
01/12/05

proceedings. Again we stress, do not buy any Chas & Dave
CD which is not released on the EMI, Demon (Edsel), Sanctuary,

queries.

Chas & Dave Greatest Hits on EMI
In a response to the various unofficial 'Greatest Hits' CDs
floating around, Chas & Dave & EMI are releasing a
major TV advertised C&D collection in November. This album
will feature all the original hits for the first time on one
CD, including Gertcha, The Sideboard Song, Rabbit, Ain’t
No Pleasing You, Margate and Snooker Loopy, plus brand new
Abbey Road studio recordings of live favourites. The boys
went into Abbey Road studios in August - the first time they'd
recorded there since the classic live album - and laid down
around 8 tracks for the album. Full track listing and release
details to follow.
11/08/05
It has come to our attention that an unauthorized Chas &
Dave CD is to be re-released later this month. The CD entitled
'Greatest Hits' (Pegusus PEG CD229) is a repackaged version
of a live album recorded in 1994 which has already been released
under several different titles. Chas & Dave currently
have no agreement with the company who are releasing this
CD so do not buy it until further notice.
As mentioned elsewhere on the site Chas & Dave have had
problems with unauthorized products hitting the shops. The
safest bet is to only buy CDs and DVDs that are either endorsed
on this site, sold at gigs, or released by Demon, EMI, Cleveland
intl, or Sanctuary Records. Email us if you have any questions.

Chas has just finished mixing an album for Mike Berry
and The Crickets (Buddy Holly's
band). The album was recorded just before Christmas in Nashville
with Chas producing and playing piano on the record. It's
the first time Chas has worked with Mike as producer since
the 'Sunshine Of Your Smile' single which reached No. 9 in
the charts in 1980. And of course Chas backed Mike in the
sixties with The Outlaws. |
